Australian academician Zhang Ke once pointed out that methanol is the best hydrogen storage material, and Zhang Tao, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, also proposed that green methanol enjoys " With the reputation of "liquid sunlight", its high energy density makes it an ideal storage and transportation method for liquid energy.

       Under this background, the methanol reforming hydrogen production fuel cell scheme and the direct methanol fuel cell scheme with methanol as the main fuel came into being; and methanol reforming hydrogen production due to factors such as high reaction temperature, large volume, and slow start-up, It cannot be used in portable power supplies and other fields, so the direct methanol fuel cell solution with small size, fast start-up and high energy density has become the preferred solution.
